First-Year Leadership Opportunities (FLO)

FAITHful Frogs is a First-Year Leadership Opportunity (FLO) that focuses on faith development, spiritual wellness, and interfaith engagement.  First-Year students in this FLO will learn more about TCU’s religious identity, develop self-awareness of what they believe & why they believe it, explore ways to intentionally grow in their faith & be spiritually well while at TCU, and learn how to live in community with people from other religious traditions and faith identities.  At the conclusion of their academic year, FAITHful Frog members will create and present to their cohort how they plan to contribute to TCU’s religious & spiritual life moving forward.

Frog Aides is a First-Year Leadership Opportunity (FLO) designed to empower first-year students to create lasting, servant-focused change and develop leadership skills to aid in both personal and professional growth. Frog Aides selects a cohort composed of students from all over campus with a shared passion for discovering why and how they want to lead. Students will meet weekly to learn new leadership skills through workshops, participate in small groups, attend an overnight retreat in the Fall to develop deep friendships, participate in fun events with the cohort, and have the opportunity to serve through various projects once a month.

Frog PATH is a First-Year Leadership Opportunity (FLO) that provides a community for first-year students passionate about connection, purpose, and personal growth. The program empowers you to explore who you are, build lasting friendships, and develop as a leader on campus and beyond. Through workshops, mentorship, and engagement with campus resources, you’ll discover a strong sense of community and the tools to thrive at TCU.

LeadNOW (Network of Women) is a First-Year Leadership Opportunity (FLO) for students to discover what it means to be a woman and a leader. Participating students will be placed in small-groups to foster closer friendships, helping them transition to college life. Through weekly meetings and activities, a retreat in the fall, and unique service opportunities, students will turn their passions into purpose through empowerment, leadership, community, and sisterhood.

Lead OUT Loud is a vibrant First-Year Leadership Opportunity (FLO) designed for first-year students at TCU who want to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community or allyship. This program provides a supportive space to build meaningful connections, strengthen leadership skills, and engage in personal growth while contributing to a positive campus experience.

Leaders Engaging & Assisting People through Service (LEAPS) is First-Year Leadership Opportunity (FLO) that focuses on community engagement and servant leadership, while also developing and executing TCU Serves Days, weekly general member meetings, and various community service and volunteer programming throughout the year. LEAPS Cohort members will develop relationships with campus and community partners while also working closely with the Office of Leadership & Experiential Learning (LEL) staff to promote a campus-wide atmosphere of community involvement, service, and excellence.
