Leadership Opportunities
Our first-year leadership opportunities, or FLO’s, place students in small-groups to foster closer friendships while helping them transition to college life. Through weekly meetings and activities, an overnight retreat, and community service, students will turn their passions into purpose.

LEAPS (Leaders Engaging & Assisting People through Service) is a program for first-year students to discover what it means to be a servant leader through community engagement and personal growth.

LINKS (Leaders in Knowledge & Storytelling) focuses on leadership through community involvement and creative storytelling.
The Aspiring Leaders Program (ALP) is a 6-week experience where students meet weekly to explore their values and skills alongside a group of peers to expand their perspectives as leaders. ALP is a leadership development program for students looking to learn about the foundations of leadership and identify opportunities to lead on campus.

The Chancellor’s Leadership Program (CLP) offers students a multi-year, guided experience to learn how leadership development contributes to their education and their communities with a strong focus on social change.
Students selected for CLP participate in a weekly seminar held on Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 pm. Throughout CLP students are able to identify their leadership style and strengths, participate in leadership retreats, create meaningful dialogue with their cohort peers, serve their community, and complete a Legacy Project. The Legacy Project provides students with an opportunity to create lasting social change in their communities focusing on a social topic of their choice.
CLP recruits new students each spring to begin the program in the Fall of their sophomore year. Applications are reviewed by Service & Leadership staff.

- Decisions and notifications will be sent via email
- The newly selected cohort will begin the program the following semester
NOTE: Students selected for CLP will be REQUIRED to attend a weekly seminar (on Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 pm).

Our Leadership & Involvement Passport is designed to allow TCU students to connect their campus involvement to their leadership development and post-college goals through opportunities of learning, application, and reflection. The Leadership & Involvement Passport provides students with the structure to intentionally pursue experiences that will assist in your growth as a leader.
Upon completing all three stages of progress, students will receive a leadership medallion to wear at graduation. Each stage includes multiple experiences that students can select from to navigate their own leadership journey at TCU. Students utilize TCU Online to track progress.

CliftonStrengths gives students and educators the opportunity to develop strengths by building on their greatest talents–the way in which they most naturally think, feel, and behave as unique individuals. Grounded in Positive Psychology, CliftonStrengths is used at universities across the country and has helped more than 2 million people achieve academic, career, and personal success (gallupstrengthscenter.com).
We provide Strengths workshops for classes, teams, and organizations! We also offer individual coaching for more personal exploration.

LeaderKids is a mentoring program for 8th-grade students enrolled in Fort Worth ISD. Leadership & Student Involvement partners with Leadership Fort Worth to identify kind, compassionate, and smart TCU student mentors. Once a month, all TCU mentors and FWISD mentees come together for leadership development and relationship building. These meetings take place on a Tuesday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
