Center for Transforming Lives Resale Shop is looking for volunteers to help with sorting through donations, pricing sale items, and organizing the sales floor.

Central Storehouse welcomes volunteers daily to help with stocking shelves, shopping with our neighbors, loading cars, building food bags for our local students, and more. Mornings and afternoons, we serve our neighbors in our food market, welcoming them in, helping them shop, and loading their cars.

The CEC is looking for volunteers to regularly assist in the food pantry where they will be performing light warehouse duties including stocking shelves, distributing groceries to participants, sorting groceries, and taking out the trash. We also have Second Glance Thrift Shop where volunteers will help in a retail type environment. Some of these duties include hanging clothes, restocking inventory, and sorting through donations.

The Cornerstone Thrift Store is looking for volunteers or volunteer groups to come and sort through donations to prepare for placement on the sales floor.

Commitment: Individual & Group Volunteer Opportunity: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Every Saturday (various shifts available). Group maximum is 12 people. Group minimum is five people.

Pick up meals from one of our distribution centers and deliver directly to seniors’ homes. Routes take about 60–90 minutes and occur around lunchtime, Monday through Friday. Build meaningful, ongoing connections with your clients, choose a schedule that works for you – weekly, bi-weekly, or as a substitute Special Service Projects. Join us for seasonal initiatives like: holiday meal prep, emergency food box packing, birthday bag or card assembly, and client outreach events.

Presbyterian Night Shelter is looking for volunteers to serve lunch or dinner to the guests. Volunteers will work alongside staff in the serving line. Lunch is served in our True Worth Building.

Each evening, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Samaritan House welcomes a different volunteer group to provide, prepare, or serve dinner to our Single Room Occupancy (SRO) residents. Our Supper Club volunteers become part of the Samaritan House family, whether they are preparing meals in our fully equipped kitchen, ordering takeout, or bringing homemade dishes. Volunteers also serve the meals, interact with the residents as they enjoy their dinner, and help with clean-up afterward.

The FWISD Family Action Center distributes fresh, nutritious food, such as dairy, produce, and meat, every second Thursday of the month in the Stop Six area. Volunteers will help set up, clean up, check-in, stock tables, load cars, greet guests in line, and provide general assistance.

Taste Community Restaurant is a nonprofit breakfast and lunch eatery that offers a pay-what-you-can policy for all guests. At Taste Community Restaurant, volunteers are called Taste Buds. 80% of the team at Taste Community Restaurant is volunteers. From Greeters to Line Cooks and everyone in between. Choose between the Welcome Team, Service Team, and Kitchen Team.
