The Archway is looking for volunteers for Berry Good Buys! Berry Good Buys is a social enterprise of The Archway. Since 1988, 100 percent of the proceeds made from the store drive our programs to keep families safe from abuse. Berry Good Buys volunteers assist staff by sorting, sizing and tagging donations.

Volunteers can help serve dinner on Thursday evenings from 5:00pm-7:30pm by preparing meals, serving food, greeting guests, helping with cleanup, and providing fellowship. Volunteers are also needed Thursday mornings from 7:00am-8:30am to help unload and organize weekly food deliveries from the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Lifting assistance is especially helpful for the morning opportunity, but all volunteers are welcome. Each evening, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Samaritan House welcomes a different volunteer group to provide, prepare, or serve dinner to our Single Room Occupancy (SRO) residents. Our Supper Club volunteers become part of the Samaritan House family, whether they are preparing meals in our fully equipped kitchen, ordering takeout, or bringing homemade dishes. Volunteers also serve the meals, interact with the residents as they enjoy their dinner, and help with clean-up afterward.
