What is an Orientation Leader?

An Orientation Leader plays a vital role in New Student Orientation at TCU, serving as a key resource for both incoming students and their families during the transition to college life. These student leaders offer guidance, support, and encouragement throughout orientation, helping new students feel comfortable and informed. Their responsibilities range from leading small group discussions and assisting with orientation events to answering questions and offering reassurance to those adjusting to the new environment.

Orientation Leaders are flexible, empathetic, proactive, and strong team players. They undergo comprehensive training in the spring and summer to prepare for this important role. This unique leadership opportunity provides students with valuable skills as they help foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for TCU’s newest Horned Frogs.
