Important Notes:
- Orientation is a two-day program, and students stay overnight on campus between Day 1 and Day 2.
- Housing is provided only during the program night, not before or after.
- Additional details, including parking, check-in instructions, and what to bring, will be shared closer to your orientation session as well as in your portal.
- Setup your TCU email (newuser.tcu.edu) and check it often (mail.tcu.edu)
- Campus improvement projects are underway and may affect walking routes during Orientation. Please plan for a little extra travel time between sessions and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Your TCU Orientation Check-In Details & What to Bring
Orientation is almost here! Below are details to help you prepare for your arrival and feel confident about your session.
Check-in will take place between 9:00 am and 10:10 am
Please plan to arrive on campus during this time window so you can complete the check-in process before the program begins.
- Bring your luggage to the BLUU Auditorium to pick up your room key
- Drop items in the residence hall
- Proceed to the 3rd floor of the BLUU to complete check-in
If you’re part of a the Honors College or an NCAA Athlete check your TCU email for possible invitations to the Pre-Orientation Session.
All students will stay overnight in a first-year residence hall.
Housing provides:
- Fitted sheet, top sheet, small pillow & Washcloth, hand towel, full-size towel
- Pillow, blanket, or fan, residence hall temps can vary.
Overnight housing is not available the night before or after Orientation unless tied to Frog Camp. Students with back-to-back sessions will receive a separate message with specifics.
- Comfortable clothes + walking shoes
- Backpack with basic supplies
- Refillable water bottle
- Light jacket (rooms get chilly)
- Toiletries + personal items
- Laptop/tablet for Day 2 class registration
Quick Reminders
- Health Record + Module completion is required for class registration; confirm via myTCU.
- DFW travel may be impacted by World Cup events. Allow extra transportation time if flying.

We have a reception with snacks that concludes around 6:30pm on Day 1. Dinner is not provided for guests on Day 1, but you’ll find plenty of great local restaurants along University Drive. From casual bites to sit-down meals, there’s something for everyone!
Bingo Night Fun! Join us in the lobby of King Wright Hall around 8:00 PM for a fun Bingo Night with fellow guests—it’s a great way to relax and meet others!
Make your arrival stress-free by planning ahead. Visit our Planning your Visit page for directions, transportation options, and parking details.
- Casual attire, bring your TCU purple!
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Backpack with pen/pencil and notebook
- Refillable water bottle (water filling stations are available on campus)

One Week Until Orientation—Here’s What You Need to Know!
Park in any section of the Parking Garage A located at 3417 W Cantey St, Fort Worth, TX 76109. If driving, allow extra time for morning traffic delays. If arriving by air to DFW, public transportation options to Fort Worth are available — visit our website for details.
The orientation packing list is on our website. Texas summers can be hot, with occasional storms, so please plan accordingly. Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated and an umbrella for unexpected rain.
Have your student check the following to ensure a smooth orientation experience
- Complete the Pre-Orientation Modules—they are required for class registration. Access them via myTCU portal.
- Submit Health Forms—Check the TCU Student Health Portal for any outstanding requirements.
- Download the Orientation Schedule via the Guidebook app
