Parent & Family Council Interest Form
Thank you for your interest in serving on the TCU Parent & Family Council! The council serves as a voice of fellow parents and family members to the Office of New Student & Family Programs. Members serve as ambassadors to TCU, advocate for needs of family members, are a sounding board for programs, and discuss issues of concern for family members. The council aids in guiding our work to support all TCU parents and family members.
Family members can apply as one individual per family or a couple. Membership is for the duration of your students time as an undergraduate student at TCU, you graduate from the council when your student graduates from TCU!
Expectations:
- Attend two council meetings, one per semester, on the TCU campus. The Fall meeting is held September 12 all day and September 13 morning, leading up to Family Weekend September 13-15 . The Spring Meeting is held in March/April, that date is announced early January.
- Support TCU programs as available. This includes functions in your hometown and on-campus (if you’re nearby). Prior programs have included Zoom informational sessions for incoming family members, assistance with move-in day, and attending parent/family events with new TCU family members.
- Contribute perspective, tips, and strategies for fellow TCU parents/family members.
- Advocate for the needs of all TCU parents and family members.
The below interest form contains several short answer questions on the second page. Please save this page and return when you’re able to dedicate time to thoughtful responses. Submissions close end-of-day July 5, 2024. Selected individuals/families will be notified late July.
The Parent & Family Council interest form has closed. Applications will reopen in May of 2025 for those interested in joining next year.
